What is IR35?
A topic that has been discussed for months on end. IR35 is HMRC’s framework to try and eliminate “disguised employees”. They want to stop individuals working through their PSC (Personal Service Company) in a similar way to regular PAYE employees.
What does it mean for you as a client?
From April 2021, the end client (you) will be the one liable for assessing contractors tax status. The roles need to be looked at individually and contracts need to be reviewed, accordingly. The outcome of not doing your due diligence could lead to PAYE tax and Employers National Insurance Contributions liability. These are heavy fines that HMRC can claim from your business.

Audit your current exposure and business practices
